I noted search terms looking for something about a connection between apraxia (difficulty remembering how to do simple tasks like buttoning a shirt) and sexual abuse. I’ve not noted that before and wish the visitor had left a comment with some details. It sounds fascinating. While I have no reason to doubt a connection, I’d worry about a neurological problem. Visitor: If you come back, please leave a comment with some details. I’m fascinated. I would suspect the possibility of some symbolic connection or a compartmentalization wherein the symptom holds the key to other doors.

I wonder, however, if the person has been checked for traumatic brain injury.  If the person’s PTSD is due to battle, an automobile crash, etc., it seems to me important to check that.  Apraxia is often a neurological symptom rather than psychological.
