ENTROPY

17 November, 2012

Sadness for the passing of things

and the murder of the future and past

by the killing of the moment.

The whale and I in grievous wonderment

at the inordinate entropy

observe the struggle against the stream —

the shoring, mending and stitching of one place

while fabric and frame are rent in another.

In endless, furied rush to remain in one place

against all that is ordained.

By mischievous decree

the natural organization of things

is disorganization

crumbling

wasting

the sucking into black holes

where even the elements of construction are pulverized.

In the beginning was the word

and these are the laws,

chief among them

one which randomly disables all the rest.
